Nana is saved by Kurama while Mariko is in a hospital unable to use her vectors.  At the house Yuka explains to Mayu about how Kouta's father and sister were killed in front of him and he blocked his memories about it and that's why he feels a need to protect others.  Kurama heads to the hospital to do what he must - kill his daughter.  Lucy also heads to the hospital and Nana can sense it.  Mariko can too and her vectors start working again.  Lucy and Mariko battle and Lucy is surprised by her power.  Kurama shows up and Mariko recognizes him as her father.  When he pulls a gun on her she tells him that all she's ever wanted was his love.  He tells a very sad Nana to have a good life as he picks up his little girl and motions for the facility man there to go ahead and detonate the bomb inside Mariko.  Later, Lucy talks with Kouta and tells him how sorry she is for what she did to him and his family and that she's survived this long in order to tell him that.  Kouta says he will never forgive her but grabs onto her and says he wants her to stop the killing.  They kiss and she heads off to help Nana.  Much later at Kouta's house, they set a table for Kouta, Yuka, Mayu and Nana with an extra setting for Nyuu in her honor.
