Sara is having to come to grips with the Witchblade.  She is also having to adjust to her new partner Jake McCarty and waiting to learn is she will be kicked off the force for the Gallo incident.  After talking with Danny, the "ghost" of her ex-partner, she learns from Captain Joe Siri that she was adopted.  Meanwhile, Ian Nottingham is engaged in a fight with the Black Dragon, a special forces experiment that was headed up by Irons.
