Sara is on the run from the corrupt NY cops and she goes to Jake for help, relying on the Witchblade's inactivity around him to indicate that she can trust him.  Jake appears to be playing on both sides, however.  Gabriel is found by the White Bulls after inquiring about the engraved bullet.  Kenneth Irons is slowly growing older and his normal injections cannot sustain him any longer.  He sends Nottingham to get Sara in order to help him to survive.  Nottingham returns with some of Sara's blood and tells Irons that he cannot serve two masters.  Irons tells him to leave instead of taking his life.  Later, Sara learns a little more about Jake that may make him more trustworthy to her.
