The Gekko is preparing to leave and their schedule gets pushed up with the military just outside the mine.  Eureka picks this time to get in the Nirvash.  She takes out the Amita Drive and the Nirvash takes her into the heart of the mine.  Renton follows which leaves everyone else thinking that he's taken it.  Renton finds her in the mines but something strange has happened to her.  The military force the Gekko to launch and leave the two behind.  Renton is able to get Eureka out and pilot the Nirvash back to the surface and, in the process, releases a huge amount of Trapar waves.  This causes the military to withdraw and the Gekko comes back for the LFO.  After seeing Eureka, Holland forbids Renton from getting in the Nirvash any more.
