Renton helps out on Charles and Ray's ship and wonders at how much better they treat him than those on the Gekko.  Charles and Ray take a job to transport a dying Voderac girl but, when Renton sees the injustice done to the girl, he takes her to try to find medical help for her.  Events get out of hand and he quickly learns about the biases against the Voderac.  Meanwhile on the Gekko, Eureka learns about Renton and is distressed.  The crew try to figure out how to find Renton but Holland wants nothing to do with him.
