Simon, Kamina and the girl named Yoko arrive on the surface only to discover two more Gunmen awaiting them there.  They are able to fight through them with the help of Yoko's townsfolk.  The next morning the town of Ritona is attacked again by three more Gunmen.  The quakes that are caused by their landing cause Simon to realize that these are the reason his parents are dead.  He goes crazy and help Kamina capture the biggest of the three Gunmen.  After some difficulties, Kamina is able to get his working and they both save the day.  Later, Kamina discovers the remains of someone that is wearing a cloak and a bracelet that he last saw his father wearing before he left him on the surface.
