The wounded Sousuke and Kaname escape into the woods where they meet up with a wounded Kurz.  Kaname finally realizes that there is more to Sousuke and that he really is a part of Mithril like he said and not just a military buff.  Meanwhile the submarine sends a little help their way.  They finally make it to the a clearing but there is no way that they can make it over the fields and to the shore without being seen.
