When Cornelia goes after the Japan Liberation Front, Zero and his people use the fight to try and capture Cornelia.  Kallen is given a new Knightmare Frame given to them by the Kyoto group called the Guren Mark II.  They use it's radiation powers to start a land slide that wipes out most of Cornelia’s troops and separates her so that they can take her more easily.
