The trapped Arm Slaves seem to be surrounded everywhere they go.  Eventually, Tessa and the Mithril commanders realize this and use a joke from the briefing to help create a code.  Kalinin gives opposite orders which the enemy misunderstands and the pilots are able to turn the trap around.
