Back at base Sousuke reports to Tessa.  She gets pretty mad at Sousuke for the way he's acting and tells him that she gave him his orders to return to full-time use of the Arbalest.  Later, Sousuke and Kurz meet their new commander, who starts off by badmouthing their old commander.  This starts a fight with Kurz but Sousuke is too disciplined for that.  The Lieutenant challenges him to a contest instead with the AS's.  The Lieutenant beats the tar out of Sousuke.
