Harry Dresden's faced some pretty terrifying foes during his career.  Giant scorpions.  Oversexed vampires.  Psychotic werewolves.  It comes with the territory when you're the only professional wizard in the Chicago area phone book.

But in all Harry's years of supernatural sleuthing, he's never faced anything like this: the spirit world's gone loco.  All over Chicago, ghosts are causing trouble - and not just the door-slamming, boo-shouting variety.  These ghosts are tormented, violent, and deadly.  Someone - or something - is purposely stirring them up to wreak havoc.  But why?  And why do so many of the victims have ties to Harry?  If Harry doesn't figure it out soon, he could wind up a ghost himself...

Meet Harry Dresden, Chicago's first (and only) Wizard P.I.  Turns out the 'everyday' world is full of strange and magical things - and most of them don't play well with humans.  That's were Harry comes in.

Harry has faced some terrifying foes during his career.  Giant scorpions.  Oversexed vampires.  Psychotic werewolves.  It comes with the territory when you're the only professional wizard in the Chicago-area phone book.

But in all Harry's years of supernatural sleuthing, he's never faced anything like this: the spirit world's gone loco.  All over town, ghosts are causing trouble - and not the door-slamming, boo-shouting variety.  These ghosts are tormented, violent and deadly.  Someone - or something - is stirring them up to wreak unearthly havoc.  But why?  Any why do so many of the victims have ties to Harry?

If Harry doesn't figure it out soon, he might just wind up a ghost hmself.

  • I try to maintain page numbers for audiobooks even though obviously there aren't any. I do this to keep track of pages read and I try to use the Kindle version page numbers for this.
  • Synopses marked with an asterisk (*) were generated by an AI. There aren't a lot since this is an iffy way to do it - AI seems to make stuff up.
  • When specific publication dates are unknown (ie prefixed with a "Cir"), I try to get the publication date that is closest to the specific printing that I can.
  • When listing chapters, I only list chapters relevant to the story. I will usually leave off Author Notes, Indices, Acknowledgements, etc unless they are relevant to the story or the book is non-fiction.
  • Page numbers on this site are for the end of the main story. I normally do not include appendices, extra material, and other miscellaneous stuff at the end of the book in the page count.

See my librarything icon librarything page. I use this site to catalogue books and it has more details on books than goodreads does.
