He played at Bethany College in Kansas from 1901 to 1902 before moving to Pittsburg.

He was the head coach for the Friends Falcons at Friends University in Wichita from 1912 to 1922 and for the Fairmount Wheatshockers in 1918 which later became Witchita State University.
