He played at Northwestern College in Iowa from 1977 to 1980.

He was a graduate assistant at New Mexico Highlands from 1981 to 1982 and then the defensinve coordinator in 1983.  He went to Dana College as the DC in 1984.  From 1985 to 1987 he coached o-line at Eastern New Mexico University and became the offensive coordinator from 1988 to 1989.  He coached o-line at Northwestern College in Iowa from 1990 to 1991.  In 1992 he moved to University of the Pacific in California to coach offensive line and then became the OC frmo 1993-1995.

From 2014 to 2015 he was the OC and o-line coach at Rhode Island.  From 2016 to 2017 he coached o-line at Missouri Southern.  In 2018 he coached o-line Lamar University and then was OC and o-line in 2019.  He also coached o-line at Mary Hardin–Baylor from 2020 to 2021 and at Stephen F Austin in 2022 and 2023.  As of this update (2024) he is currently coaching o-line at Pittsburg State.
