1908 Season

Rule changes:
1) The number of players on the line of scrimmage was increased from six to seven.
2) Mass-formation plays were banned.
3) No pushing or pulling the ball carrier.
4) No interlocked interference.
5) No crawling.
6) Flying tackle banned.
7) Score for forfeited game was set at 1 point.

Note: jersey numbers were introduced this year for the first time.
