Changes / Notes:
1) Team allowed four downs to make a first down.
2) The length of the football field was reduced from 110 yards to 100.  Ten yard end zones were established behind each goal.
3) The points for touchdowns were increased to six from five.
4) Distance restrictions for the forward pass were removed.
5) A pass completed in the end zone was allowed as a touchdown instead of a turnover.
6) An incomplete pass was no longer a turnover but resulted in a loss of down.
7) The size of the football was standardized.
