Jiyuu is able to beat the attackers easily with blocking moves and they retreat.  That night, in order to help prepare her, Koinosuke attaches a helmet to her head that looks a lot like a urinal.  This is supposed to get her used to using only one eye.  When she gets the mask off, Koinosuke tells her she need it.  She tells him that she has already learned how to fight with the invisible sword, the art of Mutodori.  At the judo field she meets up with Shino and the assassins from the other night also she up.  When she faces Shino she closes her eyes and never moves as Shino attacks.  He misses each time but then Hajime orders the assassins in.  Jubei handles them easily and Shino admits defeat.  When she closes her eyes again, he attacks and cuts the eyepatch off of her.  She goes into a coma like state.  Hajime takes off with the eyepatch but not before he orders ninjas to take Shino out.
