On a journey through the mountains the group stop to eat in a village where they meet Bergens, a Mauzer Inquisitor.  He decides to travel with them and tells them that he's out looking for the Scapped Princess.  He tells them that it's a hard job since there are so many blonde haired blue eyed girls in the world and that they even have one right here, Pacifica.  Later, the see a little girl who apparently jumps off a cliff.  When they follow, they discover a hidden valley just under the illusion of a deep gorge.  These people, however, worship Browning and they take Bergens into custody.  Pacifica, Raquel and Shannon are let free though when they discover that they have no love for the church of Mauzer either.  In the process they meet Elfitine and Lenard and they are shocked that the villagers think of Elfitine as the Scrapped Princess.
