The trio walk through an underground passageway to get to the Empire of Giat.  Meanwhile, Chris and the Barroness are meeting with the Queen, Pacifica's mother.  They inform her that the Scrapped Princess is alive and well.  In Giat, the princess and company are met by the Beast Princess and taken captive.  They are taken into Skid, the name of a still functional battle fortress left over from the Genesis Wars.  Princess Seness confronts Pacifica but doesn't get far with her so her second-in-command, Eirote,  takes over the explanation duties.  The Beast Princess then challenges Shannon and Raquel but Raquel sits out the fight, having confidence in her brother's abilities.  Seness can use magic but Shannon ends up defeating her anyway.  Meanwhile, underwater, Zepheris has been meeting with the entity controlling Skid.  She is Natalie and was once a dragon like Zepheris but has now lost most of her abilities.  When Seness is informed that Natalie has awakened, she takes Shannon, Raquel and Pacifica to talk with her.  They discover from Seness that they are inside a Free Orbital Fortress Vanguard and that they Scrapped Princess in called the Providence Breaker.  At the same time, the peacemaker Steyr is with the Giat navy, in control of each person and preparing to attack the vangaurd.
