Keitaro is with a couple of his friends when they see Motoko and hit on her.  She is a kendo master and puts them in their place.  Later she sees Keitaro at the apartments and thinks he's stalking her.  She then discovers that he's the new manager.  She becomes weak and flushed around him an thinks that maybe she may be in love with him which angers her more.  She remembers how her sister left her when she found a man.  She challenges him to a dual and if he looses he must leave.  She passes out on the roof and Keitaro saves her before he plunges into the hot spring.  He's allowed to stay on as Motoko realizes that she's just running a fever and not actually in love - much to her relief.  Later, in the hot spring, the girls discover Keitaro's prep school ID.
