The Gekko takes shelter in an abandoned mine for repairs.  Eureka appears to be getting better but pushes Renton away.  He thinks that she's upset by his abilities with the Nirvash.  He later goes with the others into the mine to look for parts.  Once there he sees a strange building and wanders into it.  Apparently he's entered the dream state that he was in during the Coralian.  He sees Eureka and apologizes to her for what he said earlier.  Much later, the men find him on a cliff apparently sleeping.  When he gets back to the ship, having to carry the equipment as punishment, he tries to apologize to Eureka for real but she tells him she heard him in the dream.
