The Kyoto group decides that they may want to back the Black Knights, especially with the loss of the Japanese Liberation Front.  They are called in to meet the head of the Kyoto group.  Lelouch has his own plans for the meeting and gets CC to help him.  He is able to convince the head of the group to finance them and provide them with weapons based on his true identity which he reveals only to the head of the group.  Later, Lelouch comes to realize just how his plans effect other when he learns that Shirley's father was killed in the landslide at Narita.
