THE HUNTERS HAVE BECOME
THE HUNTED . . .

Deep in the wilds of Siberia, a woman is on the run, pursued by a man harboring secrets - a man intent, on killing her.

A traitorous CIA officer has found refuge in the Russian mafia and is planning to use its resources to put former Navy SEAL sniper James Reece in the ground.

Half a world away.  Reece is recovering from brain surgery in the Montana wilderness, slowly putting life back together with the help of investigative journalist Katie Buranek and his longtime friend and SEAL teammate Raife Hastings.  Unbeknownst to them, the Russian mafia has set their sights on Reece in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

In his most visceral and heart-pounding thriller yet, Jack Carr explores the darkest instincts of humanity through the eyes of a man who has seen both the best and the worst of it.

"THIS IS SERIOUSLY GOOD.  I MEAN - SERIOUSLY." -LEE CHILD, ON TRUE BELIEVER

"ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!" - BRAD THOR, ON THE TERMINAL LIST

JACK CARR a former Navy SEAL who led special operations teams as a team leader, platoon commander, troop commander, and task unit commander.  Over his twenty years in Naval Special Warfare, he transitioned from an enlisted SEAL sniper to a junior officer leading assault and sniper teams in Iraq and Afghanistan, to a platoon commander practicing counterinsurgency in the the southern Philippines, to commanding a Special Operations Task Unit in the most Iranian-fluenced section of southern Iraq throughout the tumultuous drawdown of US forces.  Jack retired from active duty in 2016 and lives with his wife and three children in Park City, Utah.  He is the author of The Terminal List and True Believer.  Visit him at OfficialJackCarr.com and follow along on Insttagram, Twitter, and Facebook at @JackCarrUSA.

  • I try to maintain page numbers for audiobooks even though obviously there aren't any. I do this to keep track of pages read and I try to use the Kindle version page numbers for this.
  • Synopses marked with an asterisk (*) were generated by an AI. There aren't a lot since this is an iffy way to do it - AI seems to make stuff up.
  • When specific publication dates are unknown (ie prefixed with a "Cir"), I try to get the publication date that is closest to the specific printing that I can.
  • When listing chapters, I only list chapters relevant to the story. I will usually leave off Author Notes, Indices, Acknowledgements, etc unless they are relevant to the story or the book is non-fiction.
  • Page numbers on this site are for the end of the main story. I normally do not include appendices, extra material, and other miscellaneous stuff at the end of the book in the page count.

See my goodreads icon goodreads page. I almost never do reviews, but I use this site to catalogue books.
See my librarything icon librarything page. I use this site to catalogue books and it has more details on books than goodreads does.
