Played at Washington & Jefferson.  He was the head coach at Washington High School in Pennsylvania in 1922 then at Findlay High School in Ohio from 1924 to 1925.  He moved to Toledo High School in Ohio from 1926 until 1931 then to Canton McKinley High School in Ohio from 1932 to 1935.
He was the athletic director at Nevada from 1939 to 1947.
