Yoshihiko is slacking again in baseball and when he does show up, a new pitcher stricks him out.  She is Natsue Horikawa, the manager, and she wants to play so bad that no one has the nerve to tell her that they don't allow girls to play at Koshien.  Yoshihiko breaks the news to her but feels bad about it when she cries.  They end up training together and this leads to a few fun times.  Horikawa's enthusiasm for the game gets Yoshihiko more into it and the team has a chance at going to Nationals.  When Yoshihiko gets injured and has to miss the final game, he wants to quit but Horikawa talks him into staying and training for the next season.  About that time, he discovers that he has feelings for her.
