Report - MRI - April 28, 1992 HCA PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL PATIENT: BURNS, JOLYNNE EXAM DATE: 04-28-92 MR OF THE BRAIN WITH GADOLINIUM: Clinical History: TECHNIQUE: There is no evidence of mass effect or abnormal signal intensity identified in the brain. On the T1 post gadolinium axials, there is an area of increased signal intensity in the region of the mastoid are cell on the right which is believed to represent jugular venous confluence rather than an enhancing lesion. The 7th and 8th nerve complexes appear normal on the T2 weighted axials and on the post gadolinium coronal images. The ventricles are of normal size and contour and there is no shift of midline markers. There is good gray white matter differentiation. The paranasal sinuses and orbits appear unremarkable. The pituitary is slightly convex in contour but is probably within normal limits for a young female patient. IMPRESSION: D: 042892 N. RANDOLPH PENNINGTON, MD |
